Today’s lab models do not represent how the body really works. We bring biology closer to reality.

Current static models show limited predictivity of in vivo conditions, while dynamic models are difficult to use. We add human-relevant dynamic conditions without sacrificing today’s lab workflows.

TodayStandard well-plate
Standard 24 well-plate: static culture in every well
With MACplateARTIC's MAC-plate
ARTIC MACplate: magnetic artificial cilia channels added to every well of a 24 well-plate

From nature to assay

The technology

In nature, hair-like cilia create flow in and on organisms — including your own airways. We mirror that principle with Magnetic Artificial Cilia (MAC): microscopic actuators integrated into a standard well plate. Powered by MACnet, they generate controlled fluid flow inside MACplate.
